After starting his career at Christian Liaigre’s office, Damien Langlois-Meurinne was hired in 2002 by the German textile company Zimmer + Rohde to create his first furniture collection. In 2003, he launched his agency “dl-m”, and has since worked on a wide range of projects including offices, showrooms and private residential commissions. His aim is not to impose a style, instead he imagines schemes that are finely adapted to the specific space, as well as to the needs and desires of the client. «A project is like a bespoke perfume, a unique and highly personalised combination of various elements such as the place, the customer, the function. Thus with each project a specific identity is formed. Our signature is expressed through the care which we bring: to combine these essential elements with harmony, relevance and elegance»
In September 2005, Damien Langlois-Meurinne opened his showroom located in the heart of the Marais, where he exhibits his skilful, original furniture and luminary creations.
Damien Langlois-Meurinne, an ardent believer that quality is of the utmost importance, calls upon the artisanal know how of the very best craftsman to create pieces that are limited editions and made strictly to order.
Favouring the use of natural materials, such as bronze, lacquer, solid and precious woods, each piece of furniture brings a strong aesthetic touch in addition to its basic functional aspect, a Langlois-Meurinne mirror is not simply a mirror it is also a sculptural object.
According to Damien Langlois-Meurinne “a successful design always needs a touch of poetry, freedom and fantasy”.
